This week marked a significant milestone for the West Midlands Education Exchange as we hosted our first collaborative event since its official launch. This event provided an insightful look into alternative learning approaches at two campuses under the Invictus Education Trust: Greenhill and Revive.
Professionals from various Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), schools, and Local Authorities (LAs) across the West Midlands joined us for the event, eager to learn more about how alternative education is shaping student outcomes. The day kicked off with an informative presentation that provided valuable context and insight into the innovative practices at Greenhill and Revive.
Following the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to visit the two provision centres. They were able to engage directly with staff members and students, gaining a deeper understanding of how the centres operate on a day-to-day basis. Visitors also had the chance to observe learning in action and explore students’ work, seeing firsthand the dedication to both educational achievement and pastoral care that is central to the ethos of these campuses.
The event was a resounding success, showcasing the first-class educational and pastoral support offered to students. At the heart of everything that happens at our centres is a commitment to putting students at the centre, ensuring that each one receives the tailored support they need to thrive. The feedback from all attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing admiration for the quality of provision and the positive impact it has on the students’ journeys.
We look forward to continuing these valuable exchanges and sharing best practices with colleagues across the region. The Education Exchange West Midlands is committed to fostering collaboration and driving excellence in education for all students.
